Celebrating...Together Forever!
We were able to be sealed together forever as a family in the Salt Lake Temple on November 3, 2007.
It was the most amazing experience to be in the temple together.
Jeff's Dad, Jeff, and Jack
All of Jack's aunts who were in attendance (missing Aunt Charise).
Over 20 family and friends flew in to celebrate becoming a legal and eternal family!

Jack's Adoption Story
Jack’s adoption story is unique because of the open relationship we shared with his birthmother, {A}, before and directly after his birth. While we are grateful for her willingness to share her experiences with us, we realize and understand that you may have different desires regarding adoption.
Jack’s Adoption Story
On December 13, 2006 we were sitting in the airport on our way to Alaska to spend Christmas with Jeff’s family when we got a call from our adoption facilitator. She told us that we had been chosen to be parents and that our birthmother, {A} wanted to talk to us as soon as possible. We quickly called her and knew immediately that she was our angel! We didn’t have long to talk then, but promised to call as soon as we could. We spent the next two weeks talking for hours on the phone.
On January 3, 2007 we met {A} for the first time in a Subway Restaurant located inside a Wal-mart. It was a wonderful first meeting and she quickly invited us to go with her to her ultrasound that day. Together, the three of us, learned that WE would be having a BOY!. We spent the next three months getting to know each other better through, email, phone calls, and visits.
Jack was born on April 19, 2007 (after 18 ½ hours of labor). {A} graciously invited Alison into the delivery room while Jack was born. It is hard to express our gratitude not only for Jack, but for the experiences {A} allowed us to share with her.
It had been 23 months since we started the process for adoption. Two years prior, we eagerly started the paperwork and finished it in record time (10 days). After over a year with many situations but without any success, we looked to an adoption facilitator for help.
On July 5, 2006 we mailed our paperwork and adoption profiles to “An Angel Above Adoption.” {A} received our profile, a few days before December 13th.
Since the placement of Jack in our home, we mail pictures and letters to {A} and have occasional phone calls.

Feeding the Ducks...And Geese!
After doing a little research about our city, I discovered this great park. It is an understatement when I say I was excited to find out it is only four blocks from our home. Teasing, I have told my friends and family, "if you can't find me the rest of the summer, I am at the park."
Together, Jeff, Jack and I spend the morning at the Park. I saved some bread for the ducks and geese. There were literally hundreds of birds. When they saw us coming up to the pond, they jumped out of the water and came running towards us. Jack just adored watching us feed the ducks and geese. He kicked his legs , smiled, and made "happy" noises in excitement!
And Jeff wasn't afraid to feed them by hand. We all thoroughly enjoyed it!
The geese came a'runnin too! Right up to the fence.
I love to take pictures! Someday I would enjoy taking a photography class (even if it is only a community class for a couple weeks).

Our First Family Pictures
This is Jack's 2 month pictures. I wonder if it will always be my favorite.
He was such a good little "picture" boy.
These are some of the best things in life. We feel so blessed by the presence of Jack in our lives. The second pictures is my favorite because I think it captures how we feel! We're just in awe!
